      Age-Friendly Louisville Community Progress Report

Join Age-Friendly Louisville September 26th for a progress report of our four workgroups: Housing; Mobility & Access; Social Participation, Respect & Inclusion; & Community Support and Health Services. Since they began meeting in January, the workgroups are making great strides in reaching their goals outlined in our community-driven strategic plan. Come learn about these projects and the impact they are making! In addition to status updates from our four workgroups, this event will feature a national guest speaker: Bill Armbruster, Senior Advisor from AARP’s Livable Communities Department. He will be joining us digitally to share updates on Age-Friendly, livable communities from across the country. We look forward to seeing you there! Meet the Guest Speaker:  Bill Armbruster has been with AARP for 19 years and is the Senior Advisor in AARP’s Livable Communities Department. He manages the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities (the US affiliate of the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities). He assists states, territories, counties, cities and other municipalities  with assessing their community and developing plans and strategies to become more age-friendly for residents of all ages. There are currently over 400 communities, 4 states and 1 territory enrolled in the AARP Network.
