“Faces at the Palace”Local Music Series With
      A Lion Named Roar
Field of Kings and The Foxery
      Friday, October 19th at 9:00pm
Louisville,KY – Continuing the momentum from last month’s launch of theLouisville Palace’s all-new local music series, “Faces at the Palace,” we are thrilled to announce the next showcase of local talent which descends upon the Palace on Friday, October 19th, 2012!
Local favorites,A Lion Named Roar, have been honing their skills for the last six years; a feat not easily accomplished in today’s ever-changing landscape of music. As a band they’ve achieved such milestones as beating over 6,000 other acts on Fox Network’s reality competition “The Next Great American Band,” and they recently had their song, “This Won’t Last For Long,” premiere worldwide on MTV’s Buzzworthy Blog!
JoiningA Lion Named Roar for the Palace’s second installment of the “Faces” series, are revered up-and-comersField of Kings, and The Foxery – both of which have been featured performers on WFPK’s coveted “Live Lunch” program.
Advance tickets are available at The Louisville Palace Box Office (Monday-Friday 12pm-5pm), online atwww.livenation.com, or at the door day of show; $10 admission; 21+
THE FOXERY – “The Foxery's sound is encased by the centerpiece of vocalist Calvin Fackler's touching songwriting and personal stories, portrayed in his styling with vocals that linger in juxtapositions of belting urgency and melodic rounded charm.” -- Nick Mattingly, Groovestreet.net

FIELD OF KINGS – “Since the age of 13 Laren Rapp (guitar, backup vocals) andTyler Stiller (guitar, lead vocals) have been composing music together. Over time and many endeavors the band expanded to include Anna Blanton (yes, that's me!) on violin, Justin Lee on drums, and Alex Sartin on bass guitar. Field of Kings' sound is based off of a folk rock/alternative style that includes a pinch ofKentucky country with a side of blues. Original material ranges from melodic fiddle/acoustic quartets to driving distortion making the musical possibilities endless.” – Anna Blanton, Louisville.com

A LION NAMED ROAR – “"A Lion Named Roar has turned my ear back ontoLouisville as a viable scene again. It's the first band I've signed from the area in 10 years. I'm excited for the world to hear this amazing group. The future is bright for these young men." -Scott Frazier, Management: Volbeat, Saving Abel
